Wulf Rössler was born 1947 in Schwetzingen/Germany. He works as a photographer since adolescence.
Apart from looking at the world through the lens of his camera, he studied medicine and psychology in Heidelberg. He was Director at the Psychiatric University Hospital Zürich “Burghölzli” and full Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Zurich. He is currently Senior Professor at the Charité in Berlin/Germany and Professor of post-graduation at the University of São Paulo/Brazil. Wulf lives with his wife Helene in Zurich, Heidelberg and Berlin.
